Welcome to Long loong
For a waterproofing distributor, adding SBS modified bitumen membrane is not simply a matter of listing one roll and waiting for orders. Contractors and project buyers usually describe what they need through the installation method, reinforcement carrier, surface finish and application area. A useful distributor range should make those choices clear without creating an inventory list that is difficult to manage.
The practical starting point is to separate the range by how the membrane will be installed. From there, the carrier and surface can be matched to the purchasing requirement. This structure helps sales teams ask better questions and reduces the risk of quoting a product that does not fit the project method.
Torch-applied membrane is commonly considered when a fully bonded bituminous waterproofing system is specified and trained installers are available. Buyers may use it for roofs, renovation work, basements, foundations or other concealed waterproofing areas, depending on the complete system design.
Before quoting, confirm whether open-flame work is permitted on the site and whether the buyer requires a smooth, sanded or mineral-finished top surface. Installation must follow the project method statement and local fire-safety rules.
Self-adhesive construction is relevant when the buyer prefers a flame-free application method. The release liner, substrate preparation and primer compatibility should be discussed before the order is finalized. A self-adhesive membrane should not be presented as a universal replacement for every torch-applied system; the project specification and site conditions still control the selection.
Polyester felt and fiberglass felt are two common purchasing directions. Polyester-reinforced construction is often discussed where flexibility, tensile performance and resistance to construction handling matter. Fiberglass-reinforced construction is considered when dimensional stability is a main requirement. The final carrier and membrane structure should always be confirmed against the applicable standard and approved technical sheet.
For distributors, it is better to list the carrier clearly in the quotation and label information. Descriptions such as “black SBS roll” are not detailed enough for an importer or contractor to compare products correctly.
A compact but useful SBS product range can include several surface directions:
PE film or smooth surface for torch-applied layers and concealed systems where this construction is specified.
Fine sand surface where the buyer requires a sand-finished membrane for handling or compatibility with the next layer.
Mineral or slate granules for cap-sheet applications that require a granulated exposed finish.
Colored mineral granules when the distributor or project needs a selected exposed color.
Root-resistant construction for projects that specify this function, subject to confirmation of the required test standard and complete system design.
This approach lets a distributor cover common project conversations without making roll thickness or length the only selling point. Dimensions and performance requirements remain important, but they should be confirmed as part of the technical order rather than used as the entire product story.
A clear purchase order should identify the destination country, intended application, installation method, reinforcement, top and bottom surface, required standard, quantity, packing and label language. If the buyer has a project specification, send it with the inquiry so the construction can be reviewed before quotation.
For private-label or distributor orders, also confirm the roll marking, label artwork, outer packing and document requirements. Reference photos or an approved sample can help both sides align on the expected appearance. Before shipment, buyers can request checks covering visible surface condition, roll identification and packing integrity according to the agreed order.
Long Loong supports importers, wholesalers, distributors, contractors and project procurement teams with torch-applied and self-adhesive SBS membrane options. Polyester, fiberglass, film, sand and mineral-surface directions can be discussed together with OEM/ODM labeling, wholesale packing and technical documentation needs.
