Welcome to Long loong
Two PVC waterproofing membrane enquiries can look almost identical at first: a roll quantity, a target thickness and a delivery date. Yet the correct supply plan may be very different when one order is for an exposed low-slope roof and the other is for a basement or tunnel. For an importer, distributor or project buyer, the safest starting point is therefore the application—not a generic request for “PVC membrane price.”
This guide explains the information that should be settled before a quotation is compared. It is intended to help buyers prepare a clearer enquiry, reduce revisions and make sure the membrane, installation method and accessories are discussed as one waterproofing system.

First describe where the membrane will be installed. Longloong's existing PVC membrane range is presented for roofing systems, below-grade waterproofing and civil engineering uses such as tunnels and infrastructure. Those environments do not place the same demands on installation or detailing.
For a roof, tell the supplier whether it is flat or low-slope, whether the membrane will remain exposed, and whether the design includes a green-roof build-up. For a basement, foundation or underground parking structure, explain which side of the concrete receives the membrane and what protective layer follows. For a tunnel or similar civil project, provide the drawing section and the sequence in which lining, membrane and protection layers are installed.
This short project description is more useful than asking the supplier to recommend one universal roll for every job.
The technical table on the Longloong PVC waterproofing membrane product page lists several type designations, including H, L, P, G and GL. An importer should not select a code from the table without confirming how the manufacturer applies that designation to the required structure and installation method.
Request a quotation that states the proposed type, construction, intended application and referenced technical data. If the project specification uses different local terminology, attach the relevant page rather than translating a code from memory. This makes it easier for the technical team, purchasing team and end customer to review the same product.
PVC membrane projects can involve different fixing or bonding arrangements. The product information also describes hot-air welding for overlapping seams. Before ordering, confirm whether the project design expects bonding, mechanical fixing or another approved arrangement, and ask which preparation and accessory items are required for that method.
Include practical site information: substrate material, surface condition, internal and external corners, roof drains, pipe penetrations and expected work sequence. A roll-only quotation can appear competitive while leaving the installer to solve important details later. For distributors, this information also helps determine whether the customer needs a complete job package or membrane only.
The field membrane is only one part of the waterproof layer. Seams, terminations and penetrations decide whether separate rolls perform as a continuous system. Ask how the quoted membrane is intended to be hot-air welded and what trial-weld procedure the installer should follow before production work begins.
Welding settings depend on actual site conditions and equipment, so avoid copying one temperature or speed from an unrelated project. The contractor should establish working parameters through trial welds and inspection on site. Importers can help by requesting installation guidance with the quotation and confirming that the customer's welding equipment and trained crew are available.

Net floor or roof area is rarely enough for a purchasing calculation. The buyer should also consider overlaps, upstands, parapets, corners, pipe penetrations, drains, terminations and reasonable site allowance. Drawings are preferable; marked photographs can help when drawings are incomplete.
Ask the supplier to separate the main membrane from compatible detail materials and accessories in the offer. This gives the contractor a usable bill of materials and helps the importer compare offers on the same scope. It also reduces the risk of discovering, after the container arrives, that a project-specific detail was never included.
A B2B order may pass through a consultant, contractor, importer and warehouse before installation. Small differences in wording can create confusion. Use one agreed product description across the quotation, proforma invoice, packing list, carton or roll marks and internal purchase order.
Before confirming production, check the product name, type, ordered quantity, roll identification, packing method and required shipping marks. If the buyer needs private labels or distributor identification, provide the artwork and approval procedure early. Do not wait until loading to settle product labels.
Document needs vary by market and project. Send the required list with the enquiry instead of asking broadly for “all certificates.” Useful items may include the product technical data currently offered, installation guidance, packing details and identification photos. If a tender requires a specific test method or document, provide the exact clause and ask Longloong to confirm availability before the order is placed.
This approach keeps the discussion factual. It also prevents a buyer from assuming that a document used for one membrane type or market automatically applies to another.
A useful first enquiry can be one page. State the destination market, buyer type, project application, structure, exposure condition, intended installation method, required quantity, drawings or specification reference, accessory scope, packing marks, document list and target delivery window.
Where information is still undecided, label it clearly and ask for options. For example: “Below-grade basement project; installation sequence attached; please recommend the appropriate PVC membrane type and list the compatible detail items separately.” That gives the supplier enough context to answer a technical question instead of guessing from a price request.
For a project-specific review, visit the PVC waterproofing membrane product page and send Longloong your enquiry with the application, drawings and order requirements. The more clearly the use and installation method are defined, the easier it is to prepare a comparable quotation for importer, distributor and contractor review.
